Position Sales Engineer -Abu Dhabi

Job Description • Maintain updated price list
• Prepare quotation on NAV, if required
• Review technical submittals
• Review of all lighting samples before presenting same to clients/ consultants
• Design lighting schemes by using manufacturer’s software
• Study drawings and providing innovative and creative technical solutions to clients by advising them on the latest standards prevailing in the industry
• Follow up on site to get necessary approvals
• Generate sales orders based on LPO
• Achieve monthly sales targets based on the yearly target assigned by the Management
• Approach & follow up existing, tendered, potential projects
• Prepare “Project Report” for monthly sales meeting
• Negotiate tender and contract terms and independently finalize projects under Dhs.250, 000. (above Dhs.250,000 to be finalized in consultation with Division Manager - Lighting)
• Develop and implement special sales activities to sell and reduce old stock
• Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys and forward suggestions to management
• Expand market share of the company
Key Performance Area 2: Customer Focus
• Establishing new, and maintaining existing, long-term relationships with customers – clients, contractors, architects etc
• Identify new clients & projects
• Record and maintain computerized client/ customer database
• Provide after-sales support services, on-site technical assistance and product education to clients
• Extensive and effective follow up with contractors, clients and consultants to accomplish all other works that may be required to close sales
• Coordinate with contractor on all enquiries (quotation, deliveries, technical discussion, site meeting etc) on a day to day basis
• Review project reports principal-wise for presentation to principals
• Maintain close relationship with principals
Key Performance Area 3: People Development and Team Work
• Coordinate and follow up with Purchase department for timely delivery of materials in order to meet Project deadlines, ensuring that the materials are obtained as per specification provided
• Review “Pending Sales Order Report” periodically, and follow up with Purchase and Stores on pending orders to ensure complete and on-time delivery
• Review “Receivable Report” and close co-ordination with Accounts department to ensure on time collection of receivables
• Attend monthly sales meeting
• Attend internal meeting on weekly basis
• Should be team orientated, work as a team member assisting and supporting colleagues and other department in achieving a shared vision
• Balance team and individual responsibilities while contributing to building positive team spirit
• Other duties as assigned

• Ensure that company format, procedures and policies are followed
• Ensure that ISO procedures and requirements are complied with
• Adhere to the company’s health and safety standards
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Review completed drawings for accuracy and conformity to standards and regulations
• Ensure that all the completed/on-going tasks are as per the job specifications/procedures
Desired Candidate's Profile
Profile • Degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in related field
• A solid technical background and an understanding of engineering drawings and principles
• Sound judgment and good business sense
• Team working ability
• Effective communication and selling skills
• Ability to build relationships with clients quickly
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Valid UAE driving license
